Today the hubs and I are celebrating 7 years of marital bliss! I’d be lying if I said this marriage thing was easy. We’ve been together for 20 years and every day we have to make the decision to show up for each other. Some days, weeks, months, and even years have been easier than others but we’re still showing up. Happy anniversary mi amor!

I’m not gonna be a Debbie-downer on this beautiful Tuesday, but I always say that the biggest thing my dad’s death taught me is to live life.
In 2022 I became for intentional about carving out space for me. I take trips by myself, I set aside time to workout, and I prioritize time for reading. I’ve noticed such a shift in my life since I started being intentional with the time I make for me.

When I first started in business, I literally had no idea what I was doing. I didn't have goals; I just wanted to make money. I didn't have a target audience or niche, I just wanted to sell to anyone who was willing to buy. I followed every trend and copied everything I saw others who looked more successful than me doing. It wasn't until I really sat down, gained claritythought about who I wanted to serve and how I wanted to serve them, and started creating a roadmap for my business that I saw any success.

Keep reading if you want the truth...
Is having a business hard? Absolutely.
Does it take a lot of time? Of course.
But that hustle culture mentality is trash.
Here’s how I know ⬇️
Several of my most successful clients and mentors don’t work every day in their business. In fact, most average around 10-15 hours a week.
So don’t believe that you gotta work 24/7 to see results in your business.
Want to know what to do instead? Here are a few tips to not giving into the grind:
Tip #1️⃣: Schedule your working hours for when you have the most time and/or when you’re most productive. You’ll be able to get a lot more done in dedicated time blocks.
Tip #2️⃣: Make a list each day of the top three things you need to get done and focus on those before moving onto anything else.
Tip #3️⃣: Take a look at your full to-do list and make two categories - what will move the needle on your business and everything else. If you can, consider outsourcing “everything else” and focus your energy on what will move your business forward.
BONUS TIP📍: Schedule in “me” time. Having breaks gives you the time to refresh, recharge, and allow you to focus more on the tasks ahead.

Growing up, you could always find me with a book in my hand. I love to read and for the past several years it’s been a goal of mine to just read more. Last year I was able to read 21 books, so this year I decided my goal was to read at least that. I’m already up to 17 books, so the goal is going well so far.
The book I just finished reading is called “Lessons in Chemistry” by @bonnie_garmus_author . It’s a great book that talks about life for women in the 1960s. It has a little bit of mystery, a little bit of a love story, and a little twist at the end. I definitely suggest you pick it up if you’re looking for a new book to add to your list.
