I’ve never been much of a Valentine’s Day person so now that Galentine’s Day has become a thing, I’m all the way here for it. Galentine’s Day is right around the corner (February 13th to be exact) and it’s the perfect opportunity to celebrate the ladies in your life. What started off as a way for single ladies to celebrate their friendships (and not feel left out of the whole V-Day thing), has now become a mainstream staple for ladies to celebrate their love for each other no matter their relationship status. My girls and I will be having our own Galentine’s Day festivities later on this month with a PJs & Brunch themed wine night. Want to throw your own Galentine’s Day shindig? Here are some fun ideas!
Pick a Theme
There’s nothing better than a party with a good theme! You can keep it simple like me and my girls and throw on some PJs and kick back with some mimosas with a pajama party theme or get classy with bubbles and brunch and sip on some champagne! Whatever you and your ladies are into with always make for a perfect theme – pizza night, your favorite movies, or even a celebration of your fav singer (Beyonce anyone?)

Jam to Your Favorite Lady Singers or Watch You Favorite Rom-Com
There’s nothing better than singer loud and off-key with your girls! Throw on some girl-empowerment music and take turns doing karaoke! Not much into music? The turn on Netflix and throw on your favorite rom-com! Any Sex and the City episode or movie works great as background for the girls talk that’s surely going to take place!
Pull Out a Board Game
Some of the best moments we have with our girls are doing those things we use to do during sleepovers as kids. When was the last time you played Twister! I bet it’s a lot harder in your 30s! Pull out your favorite board game, make teams and have some fun!

Relax and Have Fun!
Hosting any party can be stressful but the whole point of Galentine’s Day is to celebrate friendships. These ladies are important to you and the best way you can show them that is by enjoying their company when you have it. Let all of your friends know what they mean to you and why you wanted to celebrate with them. And then have a couple of drinks and enjoy the festivities!
