Fall is here and so is FOOTBALL SEASON! Whether you prefer a small or bigger viewing party, I think these pointers will help you have an awesome party that everyone would enjoy!
Let your people know
The obvious first tip is to have people at your viewing party! Be sure to know and ask who you want to be at the viewing party. Don’t invite people who aren’t interested in the game but also understand that some people might just like to socialize more instead of watching the game. The second tip is letting your neighbors or landlord know whether you own a home or living at an apartment. A viewing party of 15 could be louder than usual.
Provide enough seating
Regardless if you’re watching the game indoors or outdoors, make sure there’s a seat for each attendee. Even if this means rearranging your furniture because it wouldn’t be cool for someone to sit on the floor would it? If you don’t have enough seating, make sure to ask your pals to bring their own folding chairs.
FOOD!
Don’t go cheap with the snacks you serve! No one really likes a basic pre-made onion dip and original chips at the grocery store. Ask the people you’re inviting what they like to munch on while watching the game. Another tip is to keep the food preparation simple or simply get everything ready beforehand. You wouldn’t want to miss the winning touchdown because you were in the kitchen.
Get the right drinks or BYOB
Now this is a tough one but I’ll give you a solution! Have a couple options for drinks ready instead of your typical tap water. When we get excited about a game, we tend to drink more than usual! If you’re not sure about what drinks to get, make it a Bring Your Own Drinks-Booze type of party and provide the necessities.
Your party begins with you!
This is the BIG one! This is your party so get excited! If the host isn’t energetic or in the mood, your pals will feed off that vibe and it’ll end up being a very awkward situation. If you’re an introvert, try greeting your guests first to start a conversation. Once you get in the groove, I promise you will get there by the time the game starts!
Five very simple and relatable tips for you on hosting your own game viewing party. This may be your first game viewing party so soak in these tips and see if they will help you get things together more efficiently! The Big Game Day is a great time for family and friends to spend time together so try it as this might end up being your very own family tradition!
