Now is the time of year when 2015 weddings are in full planning mode. There are always some fun new things you can try at your wedding celebration to set it apart from your peers. Here are five exciting and artistic entertainment trends for the upcoming year!
1. Decorate a Cookie Station
If you love sweets, share that love with your guests through a cookie decorating station. The station can be set up at the reception venue near the cake display or gifts. Provide an assortment of toppings including icing in different colors, small candies, chocolate fondue, and fresh fruits to give guests several delightful options to top their treat!
2. Indoor Snow “Frozen” Theme
The Disney movie Frozen has everyone dreaming of winter wonderlands. Even if you don’t live in a cold climate or are having a summer wedding, snow can still be part of your special day with an indoor snow machine! Some couples have had it snow during the first kiss at the ceremony or during the exit at the end of the night. Delicate snowflakes side by side with the other beautiful wedding decor is a combination for magic.
Hiring an artist to paint live at your wedding is actually a two-in-one opportunity. You get unique and artistic entertainment for your wedding guests as the watch the artist in action, and you also get an amazing piece of artwork to keep forever in your new home!
4. Hire a Harpist
The romance and sweet melody of a harp is a timeless addition to your wedding entertainment. Have the harpist play several tunes while guests wait for the ceremony or reception to begin. The large instrument always gets second looks and the sweet song delights the soul.
5. Video Booths
The regular photo booth is now showing up at nearly all wedding events, want yours to be a little different? Instead offer a video booth where guests can dress in various costumes to present a special message to the bridal couple or appear as though in a music video. In some cases, guests can choose to have a copy of their short video sent to their mobile phone or Facebook page. A composition of your favorite videos can be complied by the videographer to create a fun wedding video!

I thought it was interesting when you point out how having a live painter at your wedding could be beneficial not just for you but your guests as well. It’s always best to find entertainment that will also provide you with lasting memories. It would be important to ask the painter if they feel comfortable with people watching them work.
I agree. If you’re considering a live painter, you want someone who has done it before. Painting under pressure isn’t easy!
