The best part of celebrating New Years Eve and new beginnings are the parties and the amazing memories with family and friends. The not-so-great part of the partying is the planning and trying to make sure every aspect of your evening goes together perfectly. Use these following tips to help guide you through putting together the most amazing party of the new year.
No fuss fun music Music can make or break the party. Don’t just leave your iTunes playing and run the risk of accidentally blasting your sad break up tunes or guilty pleasure Disney songs to the whole room. But now you don’t have to spend hours compiling songs and scrutinizing your playlist. Use iTune’s Genius feature by entering your favorite party song and iTunes will do the rest by picking similar songs or play your favorite Pandora or IMusic Radio station to keep the party going.
Kick traditional champagne to the side with fab cocktails. Everyone will be dishing out the bubbly at midnight, so why not kick it up a level? Slice fresh ginger into confetti and put a pinch of it into the glass. Pour champagne over the ginger to add a burst of flavor and create a fun floaty cocktail. Or try combining 1/4 ounce triple sec with a splash of cranberry juice and top with champagne to make the festive Poinsettia cocktail.
Glam up the decor. Create a fancy centerpiece for your table using champagne flutes and filling them with silver and gold round ornaments of various sizes. Purchase plastic versions of the real deal at big box stores and even grocery stores. And since it’s after Christmas ornaments should be 1/2 off. Blow up tons of white and silver balloons to add drama to the room either using helium for floating balloons or your own lung power to have them bounce around the room. Make a New Years banner using cardstock, glitter, sequins or any other glitzy art supplies and hang it up using colorful ribbon. When in doubt steamers, disco balls, and lanterns will turn any room into party central.
